A serviced apartment is a fully furnished “hotel-style” apartment.

Serviced apartments are ranked according to a star system from 3 star through to 5 star ratings. The price of the apartments and the amenities provided will vary according to these ratings.

A serviced apartment is able to be booked for temporary and short term needs through to longer-term stays. Serviced apartments daily rates reduce with longer stays.

Serviced apartments are able to be cleaned daily or weekly, and are fully self contained. Serviced apartments generally range from studio rooms (with bed included within living area), through to 1 bedroom, 2 and 3 bedroom configurations. Serviced apartments will generally have:

• Kitchen or kitchenette
• Separate bathroom
• Laundry facilities (including washing machine)
• Basic kitchen tools and utensils (eg kettle, saucepans, crockery, cutlery)
• Linen supplies (that are changed regularly)
• Television, Video/DVD facilities

Serviced apartments may also have other amenities on site such as swimming pool and gyms depending on individual apartment businesses.

• Temporary accommodation needs – when international students first arrive and are awaiting for longer-term accommodation options, serviced apartments provide excellent accommodation with no need to provide anything.
• Parents – when parents are visiting their child, they are comfortably provided for in apartments close to where their child is staying.
